Every year, at the end of January and the beginning of February, the residents celebrate the TAPATI RAPA NUI (Rapa Nui Week). During this annual, seven to 14 day festival, the Rapa Nui people will celebrate both ancient and modern traditions of the island.
During the winter, the young people organise the Tokerau Song Festival.
