Croatia Fees for Visiting Yachts

In Croatia, in addition to the Tourist/Sojourn Tax (which is paid by all tourists), there is a Navigation Fee which is also payable for dinghies longer than 2.5 meters or over 5 kW. This fee used to be called a "vignette".

Navigation Fee

Approx. cost for a 13m yacht with engine power of 60kW is 705 HRK [approx. USD$100].  See Documents for full details about the Navigation Fee.

The Tourist (Sojourn) Tax

Foreign yachts must also pay the Sojourn Tax to the tourist board covering all persons sleeping on the vessel (and is payable by all tourists visiting Croatia). This is a one-off payment based on either the length of the vessel, or the number of people onboard.

You can calculate and pay the Tourist/Sojourn Tax at https://nautika.evisitor.hr/. It is no longer possible to do this at harbor offices and must be paid online.

Approx. example rates for a yacht 9-12m:

up to 3 days: 19.91 Euros
up to 8 days: 46.45 Euros
up to 15 days: 79.63 Euros
up to 30 days: 132.71 Euros
up to 90 days: 311.90 Euros
up to 365 days: 398.17 Euros

Anchorage Fees

If asked to pay an anchorage fee, check that the person requesting it presents a special card that contains the name of the concession provider and the concession holder or the port authority, the card number and the name of the authorized person. If in doubt, contact the Harbour office. On request, a verified price list of dues charged for mooring should be shown. This fee also includes the collection of dry waste from the vessel.

If no official documentation can be provided, then officially, anchoring should be free.

National Park Fees

There is a daily charge in all National Park areas (see Restrictions).

Each National Park in Croatia has its own fee structure. Boat fees are typically based on the boat's length, with larger boats incurring higher charges. For example, a 45-foot boat might pay 100 Euros in certain parks. Entry fees often vary depending on the season, with higher rates during the peak tourist season (April-October).

Notes:

  • Overtime may be charged after 15:00, at weekends and on public holidays (although not always).
  • For information on the latest tariffs, call Croatia's principal port Authority in Pula - Tel: +385 52 22 037.
