Please be cautious around sled dogs, which may be a common sight in some areas of Greenland. They are not pets. They are working dogs and must be respected as such. Do not pet or approach a sled dog without explicit permission from the musher (owner).
If invited to a local's home, remember to take off your shoes before entering.
