COVID-19:

  • May 2022, all Covid entry restrictions were lifted.

Our thanks to Victor Wejer for information throughout the Pandemic.

History:

  • By mid-March 2020, two cases of COVID-19 were reported in Nuuk. All arriving ships and sail boats were subject to a 14-day quarantine.
  • July 2020 air borders opened to some countries, mostly Denmark.
  • January 1 - April 18, 2021, Greenland closed.
  • February 2022, only yachts that had been at sea for over 14 days without stopping or taking on passengers were permitted to enter the country. An agent had to be used and a MDH sent in advance.
  • 18 May, 2022, all restrictions were lifted.
