Albania - Pets

Albania does not quarantine cats and dogs as long as the requirements are met:

  • Your pet must be identified through a legible tattoo, electronic identification system, or register.
  • Your pet dog or cat must be accompanied by a passport issued by an official veterinarian certifying that rabies vaccinations have been administered. When required, the animals in question have undergone preventive treatments for other diseases.

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs website provides information for foreign citizens traveling with animals to the Republic of Albania.
