Puerto Ayora: In emergencies, one should use VHF Channels 16 or 26 and ask for Costera Santa Cruz, the Coast Guard service run by the Naval Base in Puerto Ayora.
Between midnight and 0600, the generator in Puerto Ayora is shut down and only Channel 26 is monitored. Channel 26 has repeaters throughout the islands and can be used to communicate with Puerto Ayora over long distances.
