RO freshwater for “drinking” can be obtained from the ROYAL water plant (they put fresh water through an RO process). There are 3 contractors in the harbor that can deliver RO water in 5 gallon jugs. Papo, Andy, and Domingo all on VHF Ch. 68 can supply RO water and tap water, fuel, LPG, plus carry out bottom cleaning, etc.
Never drink tap water due to the risk of parasites.
Although the town sewerage treatment plant is now operational and plastic/styrofoam catchment systems are in place for flooding of the river into the bay, the mangrove greenish water does have a lot of mud/sediment. Therefore if you run a water maker you will need to change filters constantly and it is not advisable for drinking.
