The market in Santa Cruz, Mercado de Nuestra Senora de Africa, is one of the best in the islands. The tall clock tower of the market can be seen from the center of town, and it can be reached by a bridge leading across a dry ravine. Open daily from 0700-1500 and 0900-1400 on Sundays. As well as fresh fruit and vegetables there are stalls selling bread, spices, cheeses and hams, fresh meat and fish. There is a supermarket also with a reasonable selection of basic items.
In Santa Cruz, the new El Corte Ingles supermarket, in Avenida La Roche, has the best selection.
The nearest supermarkets to Marina Tenerife are in the village of San Andres. There are several wholesalers based in Darsena Pesquera who will sell larger quantities of frozen food to yachts.
Continente is 3km south on the motorway to the south coast, and Alcampo, 7 km north on the motorway going north from Santa Cruz. Carrefour will deliver for free if you spend over €60 Euro. Dino supermarkets also deliver.
