Half way along the western quay opposite the pier marked L there is a laundrette which charges €4 for washing and €8 for drying.

Provisions

Most yachts call at Las Palmas to provision for their transatlantic passage as provisioning is the best in the Canaries with an excellent selection of shops. All large supermarkets deliver free to yachts.

There is a minimarket next door to the marina with prices not much higher than shops in town.  Along the western quay, there are shops and nautical services stretching for over a kilometer.

Larger provisions can be purchased at HyperDino in the city centre.  Purchases over €100 will be delivered to the quay free of charge.

There are three markets selling fresh produce, open Monday to Saturday 07:00-14:30. The first two are recommended, where wholesalers sell direct:

• Mercado Central (on Avenida Nestor de la Torre), has a good selection of produce: fresh fruit and vegetables as well as meat, fish, eggs, cheese and cured meats, bread, and general groceries. There is a stall on the ground floor selling freshly ground coffee and on the first floor a stall selling fresh spices and herbs and excellent Chinese stall. Butcher who can vacuum pack meat as you wait.
• Mercado de Las Palmas is on the edge of the old Vegueta district south of the port, by the flyover. There is a section for fruit and vegetables and one for meat and cheese products.
• Mercado del Puerto, next to the commercial port, is the smallest market.

Las Canteras bakery will deliver fresh bread to a yacht before departure. Boutique de Pan Franci is Calle Luis Doreste Silva (past Cruz Mayor supermarket, on the left side of the road).

There is a small supermarket at the Texaco dock in the marina, selling basic food items and a limited range of boat equipment, including lubricating oils.
