Belize Local Customs

Belizeans are generally welcoming and accustomed to tourists, however it should be remembered that this is a conservative nation therefore clothes that are too revealing may be frowned upon in some areas.

It is polite to make eye contact and greet strangers on the street.

The majority of Belizeans respect queues and take their turn in line.
