Ascension Island has two swimming pools that are free to use and which are open to the public. Georgetown has a saltwater pool. Behind the Two Boats Club in Two Boats village can be found a larger freshwater pool.
Ascension is a breeding ground for green sea turtles, their nests and tracks evident on the many beaches. A trip up Green Mountain is very rewarding.
