In the shopping mall just passed the Geant Supermarket and close to the ATM is a phone shop that sells Sim cards. You will need to show your passport to buy a card. Plans from 5Gb (US$6) valid for three days or 12Gb (US$12) for a week.

The people in the shop will help you to activate the Sim and if you run out of data you can buy a top up card at the supermarket but go back to the the people in the phone shop to activate the additional plan.

Internet speeds are reported to be okay.  However, social media sites such as Facebook for example don't seem to work without a VPN connection. WhatsApp works normally but sometimes is very slow.

The main post office (PTT), Blvd de la Republique 12, open 0630-1300 Sunday to Thursday.

International phone calls can be made with a phone card (Télécarte) from the Telephone counter open 0630-2100 daily.

There are several hotels and bars offering free WiFi service.
