There are 2 types of buses.

The governmental operated large buses, called "Convooi", operate on fixed routes. They run infrequently but the fare is cheap. For Spanish waters leave at the roundabout at the fisherman's harbour and return from the main terminal (large parking lot opposite the post office) at Punda. The route is called 6A Caracasbaai.

Then there are the smaller, 9-passenger buses privately operated called "Bussie" and they may be hailed at any “Bushalte” (or bus stop) as well as at the main terminal or any other convenient spot where they can stop safely. They operate only on popular routes. They are a bit more expensive than the bigger buses but run a lot more frequently.
