Spanish Water - Clearance

Aug 13, 2025

Spanish Water Clearance

All small pleasure yachts should proceed to Spanish Water for clearing into Curacao.

All authorities are still currently based in Willemstad (for clearance and anchoring permits).

However, Customs, Immigration and the Coast Guard are preparing to open a new office at Santa Barbara (Spanish Water entrance). While the office is not yet operational, Customs has informed us that it will be up and running soon. See Clearance for more details.

If Skippers intend to anchor, they will need an anchor permit which must be obtained from the Harbour Master in Willemstad. There are buses and taxis available.

See Docking for anchoring details.

See Curacao/Clearance for full entry and departure formalities details.
