Hemingway Marina (Havana) - Docking

Marina:

Marina Hemingway can cater for approx. 150 boats and the majority of slips have both water and/or electricity. It is recommended to use bottled water for drinking. There is plenty of shops and services surrounding the marina including a grocery store, bathrooms (with showers and a small laundry), a pool and fuel dock (24/7). Temperamental WiFi is also available.  

Rates are US$1 per foot per day for vessels over 45feet and US$0.70 per foot per day for vessels under 45feet.  All costs for permits and berthing are payable by non-US credit card.

Boatyard:

The marina has a good range of services and knowledgeable staff, many of whom are foreign-trained. Rates are reasonable.  Boats can be hauled out by crane here and this is also a good place to store the boats ashore.

Ashore: 

There are a number of restaurants and shops surrounding the marina, accessible by dinghy or road. 

Dinghies can be used as transport anywhere within the canal system of the marina, however, they must be hoisted out of the water at sunset.

There are no maintenance facilities, the Hotel Acuario has no services available, but the Hemingway Yacht Club has drinks and lunchtime meals available Monday to Friday.

There is no shuttle bus from the marina into Havana but there are local buses outside the marina.  An inexpensive and comfortable way to get around is to use a "collectivo" taxi.
