If traveling with dogs or cats, you must apply for application online for the Sanitary Inspection Certificate and pay fee.

The following documents must be produced on arrival and a visit to the ICA (Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario) office is necessary:

  • Printed copy of application for the inspection and issuance of the CIS Sanitary Inspection Certificate, together with proof of payment.
  • Original Health Certificate issued by the official health entity of the country of origin.
  • Vaccination Certificate

Dogs must be vaccinated against Rabies, Carré's disease (Distemper), canine hepatitis, leptospirosis (canícola and icterohemorragiae), Parvovirus, Coronavirus, Parainfluenza.

Cats must be vaccinated against Rabies, feline panleukopenia.

If the documents presented and physical inspection are satisfactory, a Sanitary Inspection Certificate (CIS) will be issued.
