The local boatyards, CabNave (behind the beach of Laginha), Internave or Onave, can handle some repairs and have hauled out facilities (crane). However, they would only haul out in cases of extreme emergency (i.e. you are sinking!).
The repair services here are very good, but during busy times it can take a few days to get things done.
The skills of local craftsmen are reported as being very good, able to carry out welding and repairs to pistons, propellers and engine blocks, machine bearing-caps, etc. Labour and African wood are inexpensive, although one should be wary of being offered stolen goods. Be sure to get a quote or agree on rate beforehand.
