Retesting in progress

YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. Knitted so that the fabric itself does not deteriorate in the constant movement that marine flags are usually exposed to, and polyester so that the flag does not weaken in the strong UV-light usually found in the main sailing areas of the world.

Padang is not an attractive harbour, full of fishing boats and small cargo ships. There are two anchorages for yachts:
Teluk Bayur, south of Padang on the NE side of the bay.
Position: 01° 00.1'S, 100° 22'E.
Bungus, a little farther away from the main town of Padang, but perhaps a quieter anchorage.
Position: 01° 02.1'S, 100° 23.8'E
Better shelter for shallow draft vessels is found five miles north up the creek used by the surf charter boats. A shallow, narrow (70 metre wide) entrance, but once inside depth levels of 2.5metres all the way to the bridge.
Position: 0° 57.945S 100° 21.116E
Although a two-hour ride to Padang, Cubadak is a lovely island just off the coast of West Sumatra and an alternative to anchoring in Teluk Bayur. It is, however, a challenging place from which to arrange transport to Padang to get supplies, visas etc. The anchorage is off a resort owned by Nani and Marco, who may be able to help you with arranging transportation etc.
