Kiel (Kieler Hafen) - Docking

May 25, 2015

This large inlet is well served with places to berth. It is also possible to anchor in the Hafen, but the heavy commercial and ferry traffic makes this an unwise option.

Dusternbrook is the most convenient berth for the city as it is 2.4 kms (1.5 miles) south of the canal entrance.

Laboe is a pleasant small town and fishing harbour on the east bank, close to the entrance of the Hafen.

Tiessenkai is a small yacht harbor just north of the lock entrance.

Other berths may be found at Garden, Schwentine, Monkeberg and Moltenort.
