The Medical Research Clinic, Fajara, is British-run.
Ensure you have the necessary vaccinations (yellow fever documentation is required to check into the country) and medications to prevent malaria. It is advisable to use a mosquito net enclosure.
The two hospitals were reported by cruisers who visited to be short-staffed with limited supplies so it is recommended visiting The Gambia with a well stocked medical kit.
