International Dialing code for Fiji is +679.

The mobile phone network generally works well in most areas around the country, even in some of the more remote islands. By using both Digicel and Vodaphone you can pretty much get coverage everywhere. In Fiji, it's 3G or 4G depending on how close you are to major centers. There is a charge for telephone calls to phones of another provider, for this reason many people in Fiji use WhatsApp or Messenger, or have both SIMs.

Fijian SIM cards are available at Nadi International Airport and at convenience stores and supermarkets. Registration of a SIM card purchased locally is mandatory. These are relatively cheap to buy and make calls, both local and international. Pre-paid data plans are also available and inexpensive, but unless you have a Fiji bank account you will have to manually top it up each month online before it expires. Both Vodafone and Digicel also sell portable modems that can provide internet for multiple devices.
