Savusavu has its own airport for flights to Suva and ferries to Suva and Taveuni. Fiji Link flies several times daily from Nadi and and three times a week from Suva to Savusavu or Labasa airport. Private charters are available via plane or helicopter from Nadi Airport.
Savusavu Airport is about five minutes from the town and Nawi Island. Labasa Airport is about 1.5 hours by car from Savusavu town.
Nawi Island is a five minute boat transfer across the bay from Savusavu town.
There is a ferry service between Suva and Savusavu several times a week. A high-speed catamaran leaves Port Denarau for Savusavu 9 am every Saturday morning. M.V. Westerland service Savusavu to Lautoka (western end of Viti Levu).
There are buses serving other locations on the island. Car hire is also possible, although many roads are unpaved and wandering animals are a hazard.
