There are a variety of restaurants built on stilts and located in the estuary that specialize in deep fried fish, shrimp, and raw clams. Cold beer and local sodas sold.
In Herradura there are numerous restaurants on the waterfront and in town.
La Pampa: A well-known steak and seafood restaurant. Has fantastic views and air conditioned sections. Not accessible by boat.
Restaurant Acajulta: Deemed the best seafood restaurant in the area. A little pricey by Salvadorian standard but the food is top quality with quality preparation and presentation. The restaurant also has a swimming pool. Accessible by dinghy.
Restaurant Mar y Sol: Offers a local menu of seafood, chicken, and beef. Accessible by dinghy
