Telstra coin/card phones at the Post Office (and other occasional sites). Local SIM cards are not available.
There is free WiFi at the Golden Bosun (limited) the Bank and the neighbouring water company (unlimited). Paid Internet facilities are available at the Tourist Information office.
There is a GMS mobile service on the island.
Yachts travelling to Christmas Island might want to take old magazines and even newspapers with them as costs of both are huge on the island and slow to get there. Christmas Island papers are usually a week old at least.
