La Restinga - Docking

Jan 10, 2023

YOU MUST PRE-BOOK A BERTH HERE – SEE TOP OF PAGE FOR DETAILS.

The harbor is well protected even though the wind can blow strongly from the north.  The reception pier is to the right of the entrance on the inside of the southern breakwater.

Security:

The gates are not equipped with locks but 24hour security is provided by marineros.

Marina:

This is reported to be a friendly little harbor with pontoons where you may find a space. Visitor berths for incoming yachts are at the western pier in the southern part, almost opposite the entrance.  There about 10 berths equipped with boxes for water and electricity (though some may not work).

If there are not enough berths, yachts can also moor at the footbridge connecting the two pontoons. As there is often a surge in the harbor, a breast anchor laid to haul the boat off the wall can make things more comfortable. Although the quay is high there are ladders leading right down to the water.

There are provisions and restaurants on shore and there is a chandlery by the boatyard and several dive schools.
