The entrance through the reef is rather complicated (see tips from a cruiser January 2018 in related comments).
There is a good anchorage at San Pedro in about 6 or 7ft over sand just before you reach the town, off the thatched roofs of Raymond's resort.
The Belize Yacht Club Marina closed down in 2014.
