Fuel:
There is a good re-fuelling facility inside Mackay Marina. Call the marina office on VHF16 for assistance. Open 24 hours a day.
LPG/Gas:
New gas bottles and propane refills (8.5kg and 3.7kg gas bottles with Australian fittings or adapters) can be re-filled at the Marina Office. Note that Australian fittings are 1-inch reverse (left hand) thread, and will not fit European bottles. American and some Scandinavian bottles will fit. It has proved almost impossible to buy or have made conversion fittings for gas in Mackay, so make sure you arrive with lots of gas or have a solution already planned!
Label the bottle with your boat name and drop it into the marina by 1400. It will be returned by 1600.
They also offer Swap & Go gas bottles.
