Beirut - Immigration

Apr 01, 2017

Description:

Beirut has long been considered, by virtue of its strategic location, the crossroads between the three continents of Asia, Africa and Europe and its inhabitants are a unique blend of the Eastern and Western cultures. Much of the city's infrastructure, destroyed during hostilities in 2006, has now been rebuilt.

Beirut is one of the largest commercial ports in the Mediterranean and is the only port of entry at this time for yachts. Jounieh Yacht Harbour (ATCL) is the port of entry, but with high berthing costs. Once clearance is complete it's possible to move south to Joseph Khoury -Dbay Marina, where mooring costs are more reasonable.

The latest travel advice should be consulted before travelling to Lebanon.

Position:

33° 59.27'N, 35° 37.45'E (Jounieh Yacht Harbour).
