Ventspils has several covered markets with a wide range of goods sold at comparatively low prices. The market in the Old Town is especially busy and offers the widest range of goods every day from 08:00 to 17:00.
The largest supermarket is RIMI on the opposite side of town. Take the bus to Sarkanmuizas Dambis Street and request the driver to stop at the junction with Lielais Prospects (there are traffic lights there). The supermarket is on the southern side of Lielais Prospekts just behind the fuel station.
The nearest small shop (open 24 hours) is located at the first crossroads outside the fish dock gate (walk along dockside, past fishing boats and the fish factory, through the gate, following road slightly left - shop on right-hand side at crossroads - about 90 meters).
