Permission is required to visit here and a PIPA observer must be on board at all times (and paid by you). Currently, a PIPA official is stationed on Canton who can join boats planning on cruising Canton and the other PIPA islands.
When approaching the island, call Kanton Radio on VHF Channel 16. Sometimes you may not get an answer if VHF is out of service on the Island.
Having arranged prior permission to visit, the officials will be expecting you.
