Nagasaki - Activities Attractions And Shopping

Dec 05, 2023

The site of the atomic bomb blast is now a leafy suburb. The point above which the bomb detonated – the “hypocenter” - is marked by a simple black obelisk in a park; close by is the larger Peace Park with a set of sculptures, a memorial hall and a Peace Museum. The Museum documents the day of the blast.

Immediately behind the marina is a full-scale reconstruction, on its actual site, of the original trading post of the Dutch East India Company.
