Convenient bus (stops outside Riva di Traiano) into Rome. It takes about two hours. Tickets and timetable at the tabacchi in the port shops. Also on the bus, but more expensive.
Also trains from the town, but need a taxi or bus to the station.
Hertz car hire is at the hotel, one km (0.6 miles) towards the town. Staff very helpful.
