The main port/commercial harbour is exposed to winds from the eastern quadrant.
Marina del Nettuno lies in the NW corner of the commercial harbour, tucked up in the top corner. Shelter in the marina is limited because there is no mole - just a 1 foot high floating dock without a breakwater. The town can be noisy as ferries run across the harbour all night and the marina is reported to be expensive.
Alternatives include moorings just North of the harbor and there are two other marinas just North as well. Marina Poseidon and Porto Santa Maria Maggiore are both situated off the long sandy coast approx. a mile to the north of the port entrance, Porto Santa being the marina farthest away from the commercial harbour.
