The town is on the railway line runs from Palermo to Trapani. Trains run every hour but not late into the evening. The railway station is about fifteen minutes' walk from the centre of town.
The bus station in Piazza del Popolo and you buy tickets from the news stand inside the building.
The airport is about a 45 minute journey by shuttle bus.
A hyrofoil operates from the port to some of the islands.
