The yacht club in Licata has started a book exchange and also holds a few presentations during the winter months. For example, Italian lessons and talks and walking tours on local history and archaeology took place during the winter of 2015/16.
A VHF net was also established for cruisers three times a week, and weekly barbecues took place on Sundays. "Skippers' technical meetings" were held regularly on a variety of topics.
