To the west of the old harbour, there is a large commercial port and an industrial area with an oil refinery.
There are two marina is tucked into the southeastern corner of the harbour. Cormorano marina is to sta'bd and is very well protected. Marina Turritana is to port. Berth where directed.
As a nearby alternative, Stintino offers a sheltered marina and is a useful base for exploring I.Asinara.
