Retesting in progress

YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. Knitted so that the fabric itself does not deteriorate in the constant movement that marine flags are usually exposed to, and polyester so that the flag does not weaken in the strong UV-light usually found in the main sailing areas of the world.

Beware of a badly lit fish farm in the approaches.
There is usually a number of RIBs at the harbour entrance representing the marinas and trying to get you to berth at their facility.
There is a huge number of berths here, both transit and longer-term moorings are available.
Town Quay
Visitor berths on the town quay in the southern part of the port, are all equipped with tailed moorings, water and electricity. If you are happy not to use any of these services, mooring is free of charge for up to 5 days. There are 2 spots with alongside "transito" berths:
1. Banchina Dogana: Go either side of the tourist boats, just give the Coastguard/rescue boat a wide berth.
2. Banchina Sanità: More private with less passing traffic, in the SE corner, adjacent to the old town.
Marinas
The newest marina, Marina Di S. Elmo, is in the quieter area on the southern side of the port.
The various yacht clubs here may also have a berth available on their pontoons.
Fertilia, just north of Alghero, offers very good shelter and is a popular place to over-winter.
