Description:
This port lies about 50nm north-west of Bari, on the southern coast of the promontory of El Gargano ( the ‘spur’ projecting from the ‘boot’ of the peninsula).
It has an attractive 'old town' with a medieval castle and its town walls, as well as a 17th-century cathedral.
