This is one of the approved Official Ports of Entry.
Entry must first be made at Nongsa Point. You will be required to use the marina agent for clearances here. You will need last port clearance papers, passports and a crew list stamped by Immigration from your last port. The marina staff are reported to be friendly and helpful.
Outward clearance requires 24 hours notice. If you wish to do clearance yourself, you may be better to choose an alternative port as the authorities are all located quite a distance away from the marina.
Nongsa Point Marina ask skippers to notify them via e-mail in advance by sending boat registry and crew list during working hours. A copy of the document showing the MMSI / AIS identity must also be presented to the authorities.

Overnight/Short Stays
It may be possible, with advance permission, to stop here to refuel/effect repairs for one to two days, without officially clearing in. Cruisers have reported being granted permission by Nongsa Point Marina en-route from Kuching to Langkawi.
Pets
Previously it was possible to enter Indonesia at Batam with pets on board, but officials are not accepting pets from any country. Contact Agnes if you have any questions about entering Indonesia with pets on board.
