Ferries

• Ferry to Bolgatty to Ernakulam from ferry dock near the marina. Every 30 mins (6rp).
• Ferry to Kochi town from city ferry terminal. Every 15 mins (2.50rp).
• Ferry to Vypin/Willingdon Is from city ferry terminal. Hourly (2rp).

Trains run from Ernakulum Junction (some from Ernakulum town) to all over India (Kochi station is closed).

Airport: Has flights to the Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka etc as well as domestic flights to many Indian cities.

If considering renting a car or motorbike, bear in mind the roads are often very poor, congested – and it will likely take you double the time to get anywhere (due to traffic, poor roads or construction). Driving at night should be avoided.

Uber is available and cheap. The Indian version of Uber is “Ola” and that is also available and cheap. Both work through apps on your smartphone.

Auto Rickshaws or Tuk-Tuks are also plentiful and cheap and are now appearing as an option on Uber as well. Cost about 30rp for up to 1-2 km.
