There are flights and a ferry service to mainland India. Flights are from Port Blair to Chennai & Kolkatta.
For getting around locally, there are plenty of taxis and tuk-tuks.
There are always a couple of taxis around ($200 R an hour). They are good at knowing where everything is. Tuk-tuk is about 50 to 100 R to downtown
