Taxi's and collectives are numerous and inexpensive. For taxis, negotiate the rate before entering, and confirm which currency will be used. Prices are typically per person.
From French Harbour, Tica collectivo buses run to the East End of Roatan or Coxen Hole, from where other collectivos run to West End.
Use extreme caution travelling to the eastern end of the island where tourists have suffered violent attacks. ~Avoid leaving the main roads, especially when in a highly noticeable rental car.
