Retesting in progress

YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. Knitted so that the fabric itself does not deteriorate in the constant movement that marine flags are usually exposed to, and polyester so that the flag does not weaken in the strong UV-light usually found in the main sailing areas of the world.

While it is possible to get your passport stamped at the Immigration office here, it is not possible to clear your boat into the country as there is currently no Customs office.
Proceed to clear in at Bartica where formalities are quick and simple.
For all the details on clearing into and out of Guyana see the Formalities section.
Food is cheaper here than in Bartica, so it's a good place to get stamped into the country and re-provision first.
It is necessary to anchor some way out into the river to avoid the sandbanks and the local ferry traffic. An ideal spot is about 150 meters off the end of the pier at Roeden Rust Marina (no facilities here).
Take the dinghy to the steps, taking care to leave it on a long line as the tidal range can be up to four meters. All the crew need to go ashore to visit Customs and Immigration in Parika. A taxi into the town will cost about 100Guy$ per person.
From the crossroads in Parika, the Police Station and Immigration Dept are on your left just before you reach the pier. Ask for a three-month visa as it will be easier than having to go to Georgetown later for an extension.
