Retesting in progress

YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. COVID-19: OPEN PORT
See Biosecurity for yachting protocols.
Description:
Apra Harbor is a deep-water port on the western side of Guam and is considered one of the best natural ports in the Pacific Ocean. The harbor is formed by Orote Peninsula in the south and Cabras Island in the north. To the south, the harbor narrows and then widens again to form an inner harbor. The southern end of the harbor is the location of Naval Base Guam. The northern end is the commercial port, which handles about 2 million tons of cargo a year. The harbor is a popular area for surfers, divers and watersport enthusiasts.
Entrance Notes and Cautions:
Ensure you call the Port Authority on VHF Channel 13 before entering the breakwater leads as this is a busy 24 hour commercial and military port and everything painted grey has right of way.
Yachts must stay well clear of the Naval Harbour, which is situated within Apra Harbour. It is possible a yacht might be boarded by a naval patrol when entering or transiting the harbour.
In cases of emergency or distress when entering the harbour, contact the United States Coast Guard Sector Guam Rescue Command Center:
Email: rccguam@uscg.mil
Phone: 671-355-4824
Radio: VHF Marine Channel 16
Position:
13°27.13' N, 144°37.29' E (outer harbor entrance)
