Arriving in the Gambia with a Pet Onboard

• Animals must be declared.
• Your pet(s) must have a veterinarian’s health certificate issued at point of origin before your trip.
• A vaccination card and identification documents, primarily a passport is also required. The animal must be certified as healthy, fit for travel, and vaccinated for rabies.
• Your pet(s) have to be registered at the Gambian Veterinary Department after you arrive in Gambia in order to obtain an import permit. The department can be contacted at (+220) 4397 472.
