Kourou is a busy place with lots of industry and tourism. Hardware shops, even a yachting shop in the industrial area, supermarkets at various price levels and a fresh produce market on Fridays and Saturdays, and a fish market on Saturdays at the fishermen’s dock will cater for most of your needs. Although at a price, as this is a French dependency like Noumea, Tahiti or Comoro Isl.
