Tréguier - Docking

May 12, 2023

There is a marina off the town but beware of the strong tides in this part of the river. Avoid entering the marina except at slack water (the harbor master strongly advises this). There is a holding pontoon in the river.

On arrival in high season wait near the end of first pontoon (E) for HM to guide you to your berth. Contact HM in advance on VHF Channel 9.

Anchorages

There are several anchorages in the river. The most useful being

(a) near the river mouth; about 1 mile west of La Corne lighthouse, close to the northern bank.

(b) about half a mile below the town, tucked in a bend of the river.

Both the marina and the river offer complete shelter. The main channel is well marked and can be entered both day and night in most conditions, at least as far as La Corne. Beyond that, although some buoys in the river are lit, navigating on a dark night would be difficult.
