You can go to the city by bus 213 (4 CUCs) or by taxi (8 CUCs each way, but often they will charge you nothing to wait for two hours to bring you back again). Both buses and taxis leave from the marina exit. The marina can arrange a taxi. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the city.

The ferry departs Punta Gorda at 6 am, 12:45 and 5 pm. You can take the ferry to the City at 12:45 and return on the 6 pm. Each way costs 1CUC.

The airport has flights to Havana, Montreal, Madrid and Paris as well as charter flights to Miami.

The main railway station ("General Senén Casas") has connections to most of the main Cuban cities. The journey to Havana by the fast train (Tren Frances) takes 12 hours.
