The bay provides good shelter. There are several visitors' buoys here or anchor in about 4m, taking a line ashore.
If the anchorage and buoys are full, there is an alternative anchorage in the next bay to the north. Here there is good holding in sand and a depth of 7 to 10m.
There is a National Park reception center here.
