Marine supplies are not easily obtainable here. The marina reception and boat yard staff are able to help source chandlery items locally and from Barranquilla. They will order in items but do not rely on being able to receive items duty-free, even if marked for Yacht in Transit.
There are 2 chandleries a 2-minute walk from the marina, next to the entrance of the Marriott Hotel, and both stock a few basic items.
There are a huge number of hardware stores, or Ferreterias, with the greatest concentration of stores being along road Calle 10, between Carreterra 6 and Carerra 9. There are also a few on the corner of Calle 11 and Carreterra 11a. It might require some time spent looking for what you need, but it will probably be there somewhere.
Saturday open until 1300 and closed on Sundays.
There are two main hardware stores with a variety of choice, Sierra Mar and Nautiagro. Contact the marina office for further information.
